Sharla Elaine VanBrunt was born on January 3, 1972, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Paula Smith, she passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 in Lenna, Oklahoma.

This obituary commemorates the life of Sharla Elaine VanBrunt, a beloved member of our community.

Sharla spent her early years in Henryetta, where she built lifelong roots and friendships. On September 26, 1991, she met the love of her life, Clifford VanBrunt. While their journey together began unexpectedly, it was not until 1995 that they chose to walk through life together forever. Sharla and Clifford were united in marriage on February 2, 1996, beginning a partnership defined by devotion, companionship, and enduring love. They built their life together in Council Hill, Oklahoma.

Throughout their marriage, Sharla and Clifford were rarely apart. They stood faithfully by one another through every season of life. After their children were grown, Sharla embraced a new chapter filled with travel and adventure-cherishing the time she and Clifford shared exploring the world together.

Sharla especially loved traveling. Some of her favorite memories included swimming with dolphins in Mexico, parasailing with her cousin, Kellie, shopping trips in Belize, snorkeling in Mahogany Bay, Honduras, and even experiencing the thrill of zip-lining. Each adventure reflected her joyful spirit and love for life.

Above all else, Sharla lived a life guided by love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford VanBrunt, and her grandparents, Melvin and Loretta Maxwell.

Sharla will be remembered for her adventurous heart, her deep love for family, and the unwavering bond she shared with those closest to her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Crystle Chance & husband Cody of Coweta, Scott Smith of Muskogee, Alesha & Charles Kirk of Council Hill, and Tanya Durrett & Bryan Ford of Eufaula, grandchildren; Emily, Gunner, Kindra, Chloie, Wyatt, Travis, Gabe, Paytin, Lenon, Chance, and one great grandson on the way, Maverick, as well as many friends and other family.

Viewing will be from 2-7PM, Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2026 at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow at Council Hill Cemetery.
